Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Anthropology

  • Doctor of Philosophy in ALL faculties shall be applicable.
Admission Requirements
  1. A holder of a Master of Arts in Anthropology degree of the University of Nairobi.
  2. A holder of a Master of Arts in Anthropology degree of a recognized university whose degree has been accepted by Senate to be equivalent.
  3. Holders of a Masters degree in a discipline other than Anthropology shall be eligible for registration if they satisfy Senate that they possess sufficient foundation in Anthropology to be able to pursue studies and research in, and write a thesis on anthropology subject.
 
Form and Duration of Registration
A candidate registered for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy shall carry out a programme of original study and research over a minimum of two years on a full-time basis and four years on a part-time basis.
