Master of Science in Health Economics and Policy
The School of Economics is one of the largest units of the University of Nairobi. It has the largest pool of Economists in Kenya and East Africa, with an academic staff establishment of 51 members. The School offers specialized training in Economics at the Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral levels. The School is organized under three thematic areas: Economic Theory, Applied Economics, and Mathematics and Quantitative Economics. The School has a rich profile of local and international linkages and collaborations with various institutions in research and consultancy, capacity building, staff and student exchange and curriculum development among others.
The School of Economics invites applications for the following programmes:
Master of Science in Health Economics and Policy (Offered at Nairobi and Kisumu Campuses)
The common regulations for admission and registration in a Masters Degree in the University of Nairobi and the School of Economics shall apply.
In addition the following shall be eligible for admission for the Masters programme.
Holders of Bachelors degree at Upper Second Class Honors in Economics, Health Sciences or other related disciplines from the University of Nairobi or other institutions recognized by Senate.
Holders of Bachelors degree at Lower Second Class from the University of Nairobi or other Institutions recognized by Senate, with at least two years relevant post qualification working experience.
Holders of a Pass degree and a relevant Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Nairobi or other institutions recognized by Senate.
iv.Holders of a Pass degree from the University of Nairobi or other institutions recognized by Senate, with at least five years relevant post qualification working experience.
